Description
The Tough Stuff Series is a unique collection of hands-on activities designed to help students deal with the real-life problems and issues they are currently facing. Each fully reproducible collection provides immediate guidance to troubled students by allowing them to recognize and express their emotions in a journal-like format.Students learn by doing through a variety of empowering exercises. The exercises comprise a wide range of form and styles that may be readily modified to suit the individual. Using such techniques as interviewing, reflecting, self-monitoring, illustrating, poetry-writing, self-analysis, imagining, song-writing, recording, surveying, journal writing, and self-relaxation, students learn how to examine their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors using a fun, nonconfrontational, and motivating approach. As each activity links to the next, the student is guided through a process of self-exploration and self-discovery.
